What a great event! Pine Meadow’s gym looked fabulous, complete with thousands of tiny lights, student handmade paper snowflakes hanging from the ceiling and even a lifesize Grinch! It truly was a wonderland and we so enjoyed getting to see the excitement on all of the kids’ and parents’ faces as they waited for a turn to try their hand at the obstacle course. To add to the festive nature of the evening, the halls were filled with student art and the sounds of music. Piano performances serenaded guests as they made their way around to the different art projects, while middle schoolers provided spirited holiday caroling for guests who were indulging in a delicious Grizzly’s prepared supper, which was complete with a wide variety of pies available for sale to finish out the meal. We know this was an evening that Owen would have loved, and that fact on top of the enjoyment we witnessed from those in attendance made the event even more special to us.
Thank you to everyone that helped out with the evening in any way, from those that helped get the word out to promote the event, to students sharing music and artwork, to the most AWESOME staff of ISD 748 for giving of your time and little people crowd control expertise, to help keep everything flowing smoothly through the night. This event could not have functioned without all of you!
Winter Wonderland 2015 far surpassed our expectations in both attendance by families and generosity of those whose came. Thanks to your support, we will be able to continue to give the gift of a night out to many hurting families. We are so grateful and look forward to doing this again in 2016!
